How to Plan a Good Golf Vacation
People from all over the world love to play golf. Once golf began to spread it quickly was available all over the planet, in fact
there are few countries in the world today that do not have a golf course. Which makes running off to play golf at some exotic location
particularly easy. Think about it, leave behind your normal green that has become ordinary and a bit boring to take a golf
vacation!
Would you like to see the manner in which golf is being played in other cultures? How about taking in some sights plus enjoying a
fun round of golf? An exotic golf vacation might be right up your alley.
Tips for finding the best exotic golf vacation.
1. You will not want to leave your planning until the last minute. First, check the internet for the many sites that offer
vacation packages that include a few rounds of golf. You can also check out golf magazine recommendations that will give you
information about where the best golf spots in the world are. Doing your homework will definitely pay off in the end.
2. Keep in mind that you are on vacation and saving money is always a good idea. To do this you can look for golf courses to
play on that are a bit less expensive. Check out the courses and find out which ones charge premium fees for weekends or holidays. You
could also see if the course offers a discount if you play late or for a specific amount of time per day.
3. For larger groups you will want to call ahead and preregister. If you will be traveling in a group larger than four or five
people the staff of the hotel and the golf course will need to be notified. One or two unregistered golfers can likely be
accommodated without being registered, but most courses will require big groups to be advanced registered. It only takes a little
preplanning to bring it all together.
4. Be sure you are aware of cancellation and no show policies before you give out your credit card information. If something
comes up make, sure you follow policy for cancelling your reservations.
5. Tee times should be booked in advance, actually, before you leave home. Many golf courses allow booking through their
website or a third party agency.
